Standardul stabileste metoda de dozare a sulfului total în produsele petroliere, gaze naturale si olefine, cu un continut de sulf de la 1 la 10000 mg/Kg, corespunzând în special distilatelor al caror continut de sulf total este sub 300 mg/Kg
