Acest standard reprezintă documentul naţional de aplicare a standardului european SR EN 206-1:2002 Beton. Partea 1: Specificaţie, performanţă, producţie şi conformitate, pe teritoriul României. Această ediţie a standardului completează regulile şi informaţiile cuprinse în SR EN 206-1:2002. Completările textului standardului SR EN 206-1 din acest document se aplica numai pe teritoriul României. Ele cuprind exigenţele normative complementare ale standardului EN 206-1 care trebuie implementate la nivel naţional precum şi exigenţele stabilite în funcţie de experienţa românească în ceea ce priveşte aspectele ce nu sunt tratate în SR EN 206-1. Acest document se aplică împreună cu SR EN 206-1. Acest standard se aplică tipurilor de betoane prevăzute in standardul SR EN 206-1, betoanelor destinate structurilor turnate in situ, structurilor prefabricate, elementelor de structură prefabricate pentru clădiri şi structuri de geniu civil. Acest standard se aplică de asemenea betoanelor autocompactante şi betoanelor cu agregate din beton reciclat, cu condiţia ca aptitudinea de utilizare a acestor agregate sa fie verificată şi controlată având în vedere criteriile aplicate agregatelor naturale.
