Această erată modifică standardul european EN ISO 10456:2007 care a fost adoptat ca standard român la data de 30.04.2008. Standardul de bază SR EN ISO 10456:2008 stabileşte metodele pentru determinarea valorilor termice declarate şi de proiectare ale materialelor şi produselor de construcţie omogene din punct de vedere termic, precum şi proceduri de conversie a valorilor obţinute pentru un ansamblu de condiţii în valori valabile pentru un alt ansamblu de condiţii, utilizate în mod curent în construcţii.
