Acest standard stabileşte un sistem de precizie referitor la flancurile omoloage ale roţilor cilindrice izolate cu profil în evolventă. Acest standard stabileşte definiţiile corespunzătoare termenilor referitori la precizie şi indică baza sistemului de precizie al danturii şi valorile admise pentru abaterea pasului, abaterea totală a profilul şi abaterea totală a elicei.
