This European Standard specifies analytical methods of testing chemical composition of zinc and zinc alloys in accordance with EN 1179, prEN 1774, prEN 12844, and EN 988 by optical emission spectrometry. Included are provisions for preparation of test pieces of zinc and zinc alloys.
