This European standard is applicable to aluminium chloride, hydroxidechloride and hydroxidechloridesulfate (monomeric) used for treatment of water intended for human consumption. It specifies the characteristics, gives reference to the analytical methods and gives information on their use in water treatment. This European standard does not apply to any polymeric form of these salts (see EN 883).
