Acest standard EN ISO 140-1:1997 stabileste conditiile pentru laboratoarele care efectueaza masurari de izolare acustica a elementelor de constructie. Se aplica laboratoarelor în care s-a încercat sa se obtina transmisii pe cai colaterale neglijabile si/sau care poseda o izolare a structurii între camera de emisie si camera de receptie.
