Non-destructive testing of welds - Ultrasonic testing of welded joints

The 2nd paragraph shall read now : "The techniques may also be used : - on materials other than those stated ; - on partial penetration welds ; - with automated equipment if required by specification.". The 4th paragraph shall read now : "The standard specifies four testing levels, each corresponding to a different probability of detection of imperfections. Guidance on the selection of testing levels A, B and C is given in annex A. The require-ments of the fourth testing level, which is intended for special applications, shall be in accordance with the general requirements of this standard and may only be used when defined by specification.". The 5th paragraph shall read now : "This standard may be used for the assess-ment of indications, for acceptance purposes, by either of the following methods: ? The methods used shall be specified.".
