Air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps with electrically driven compressors. Heating mode. Part 1: Terms, definitions and designations
This part of EN 255 specifies the terms and definitions for the rating and performance of air and water cooled air conditioners, liquid chilling packages, air/air, air/water and water/water heat pumps with electrically driven compressors as well as the properties of the units when used in heating mode. When these units are used for space cooling, then prEN 814-1 applies; when these units are used for cooling and heat recovery, then prEN 12055 applies. This standard does not specifically apply to heat pumps for sanitary hot water, although certain definitions can be applied to these.
