This Standard specifies a test method for checking the leaktightness of elastomeric sealing ring type joints and mechanical joints (excluding fusion-welded joints and adhesive type joints) for thermoplastics pressure piping when the external hydrostatic pressure is greater than the pressure within the pipe.
