Standardul EN 50383:2002 este standardul de baza care se aplica statiilor radio de baza si statiilor terminale fixe pentru sistemele de telecomunicatii fara fir, asa cum au fost definite în capitolul 4, functionând în domeniul de frecventa de la 110 MHz la 40 Ghz. Acest standard se refera la metoda de asigurarea conformitatii distantelor cu privire la restrictiile de baza (direct si indirect cu referire la nivele de referinta) legate de expunerea umana la câmpurile electromagnetice de frecventa radio.
